Hello, I'm new to this list and intereted in the research of Mckeown families as well (which also could be MacOun, Maconn but not sure) who lived on Edward St.

I have Benajmin(e) Culbert married in 1896 to Elizabeth Mckeown and according to the Lurgan 1901/1911 census lived on Edward St. I've not found a marriage certificate for them to verify the Elizabeth's surname spelling but wanted to post here since Patrick could be a relative to her. I was provided with information that Elizabeth's father was William, farmer but this is where the surname is questionable between Macoun, Maconn and Mckeown. One of the children of Benjamin and Elizabeth's - Jane at one time moved to Canada and married a Hopps but is listed shows up in the Armagh, 1911 census.

Maybe there is a connection somewhere.

Happy New Year
