Hello.  Yes that was my Grt.Grandfather's death.  Thank you.  I am pleased to see his burial information as well.  Very helpful.

I have never found Frederick in the 1871 census.  Could he have been on the forces; in prison, or out of the country.  As he was a compositor I would think that round about 1871 he may have been serving an apprenticeship away from home.  But he still should be able to be found.  I have regained my enthusiasm now that I have some more worthwhile stuff to follow up. Many thanks.

I hadn't thought to look at where Elizabeth was living in 1871.Maybe that census could help me.  Thankyou.

I have a marriage that took place in the Emmanuel Church Peckham in 1874.  It doesn't give me an address for either of the participants.  It just says Emmanual. Is this unusual?  It makes the research come to a halt .

I am newish on here. I was wondering if you had investigated the manufacturing businesses in the area where she was living? You might get a clue as to her work from that angle.  :)

The Lighter Side / Re: Old Kent Road

In my 1930's London Directories the house numbers in Old Kent Road go up to 900+. It's a long road.

143 is not listed - see the snip below from 1934:

What period is your photograph? Does Mr Barnes have a first name or initial ?
His name is J.W.Barnes and I got the number wrong It is 840. And in the background there is a railway bridge about 100 yards away.  The era looks to me late Victorian or Edwarian
