Thanks for the info for Peggy's occupation.
I did go with the info on the Ancestry Tree and then realised it was not  right.

Gosh, you were all very quick with the information.
I also wonderd if she was adopted because couldnot find  anything.
That looks a good shout for the 1911 Census info in Hexham and the marriage between William Baty and Margaret Jane Jackson.
So the 1921 Census of her in Hexham would fit, did it have any occupation for her by chance?
I suppose the only way would be to get the birth rcord for Peggy Hardy Huddlestone born the same year and see if it says adopted.
Thank you everyone, something to go on now.

Durham Lookup Requests / Peggy Hardy Batey
« on: Sunday 17 July 22 12:46 BST (UK)  »
Hello, looking for any information on Peggy Hardy Batey. On her marriage certificate she married Harold Percy Tweddle.  19/05/1926 at the Reg Office in Darlington. Her age was 22, her father William Batey, Sawmill Enging Driver of Thorntree House, Middleton St George.
Have managed to follow the Tweddle side of the family but not the Batey. Cannot find them on the Census, not on BMD tried GRO, tried Familysearch all a blank.
Thank you.

Thank you for your help and info. We have the adoption papers from Salford and  I had googled the address. I have just found a probate for the same address and surname for 1995. So i conclude that family still lived there until 1995.

I would appreciate any help, I am helping a friend who was put up for adoption by The Salford Catholic Protection and Rescue Society in 1962. My friend now has her birth certificate which gives her place of birth as 93 Delaunays Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, was this a home for single mothers or an actual home address. Her birth mothers name is on the certificate.Any help or information would be appreciated. Thank You.

Cumberland Lookup Requests / Re: Marriage Look Up, Whitehaven
« on: Friday 17 January 20 14:45 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you for your quick replys, I managed a trip to Carlisle Archives today and they had the Marriage Certificate for Whitehaven. It states Mabel as been 33yrs old at the time of marriage, so the date of birth was wrong. She must have been born 1900 instead of 1909, though does state Father as John Kerr, Engineer.

Yes i have his fathers info, and the 1939 record, but i can't find his wife Mabel Kerr, her baptism record.  So the wedding certificate info would help me. I know she was born 10th September 1909. I checked the GRO but couldn't see it.
Thank you.
