Thank you for that information.

The man I am interested in was asking for help from the British Legion his name was Charles Walton. so perhaps he was in the poor house. I believe he was born Charles Wharton son of George Wharton and Mary Cowlishaw.
Its a long story and he, Charles told so many lies its taken me years to try and figure it all out, but i think im slowly getting there.

I am wondering if anyone knows if there was a derwent road in Chesterfield in 1934 in particular i am interested in no 33. What kind of housing was on that Road ???

My Laidlaws are an of shoot of the Amos Family and don't know much about them.
As for the Scott's its like looking for a needle in a haystack so many of them.
