Staffordshire / Beckminster special school, bradmore/penn

Just wondered if anyone knows of any photos anywhere of the beckminster special school? I've been trying to find any of the building (not beckminster house next door but the actual school) I find it hard to think there's no photos of the building with how long it was there...

Anyhows... Thanks in advance

Lancashire / Re: Crawfords Biscuits Edge Lane Liverpool

I've got an odd one here. I had seen in other records that my grandfather had worked at a biscuit factory... But minutes ago when the 1921 census was released I looked him up and yes, grandad lived here in Wolverhampton... So I was gobsmacked to see he worked at Crawford's... In Liverpool???? Did many from Wolverhampton work up there??? Seems odd for him to be working so far from home???

sorry, probably a silly question, however, I got a couple of war medals in honour of my graddad who i never knew, the British War Medal one tho needs a pin, clasp thingy for the ribbon... Im not sure what to call it to search for one on ebay etc...

Anyone know?

yes, I know it might seem a lil silly getting a couple of replicas, but its my lil way of keeping his name and what he did... "in the family" :)

Thank you so much L;izzie (and all of you).. youve given me plenty of leads there to follow up...

In the meantime btw, Ive heard back from the fella who runs a Skyrme database on that surname, he has checked too and yes I can rule out the Skyrme name completely now :)

Exactly Rosie, that's why I've been questioning it all :-(

If you were already aware that John Evans & Mary Skyrme did have a son called William who was not born until 1833 and living with the family in 1841 then surely that is sufficient to discount this family as yet another wrongly sourced online tree.

I think you need to purchase the birth certificate for Selina mmn Jones in case it has clues to her mothers possible previous married name.

No, to that I was meaning, yes .. i was aware other trees etc, could easilly be wrong, which is why I wanted to check out the Skyrme stuff, so id not be following a false family
