Hi, i am doing the cockburns as well my grandad was james scott cockburn, i have elspeth date when she died it was 3rd feb 1866 she was 66. thomas and elspeth had 9 kids john i have him down for around 1826 cant find any thing on him, joseph the same around 1830.thomas parents were alexander and isabella, thomas and elspeth were married in ratho edinburgh on the 2 april 1820 hope this helps

looking for any information on the cockburn, their parents were thomas cockburn born around 1791 and elspeth kay dont have a date for her, their kids are david 1834, margaret 1841. alexander 1821, thomas 1829, i have three more kids but i have not got a date of birth for them, they are john, joseph and james, thomas died in largo. thanks katie

looking for information on 2 generations off cockburns from south leith.  alexander cockburn married isabella hogg in 1855, they had 5 kids, john 1867, alison 1865, isabella 1858, alexander 1863 got a marriage for him and two kids and thomas 1857 who married lydia fraser frier in 1881 they had 11 kids, james scott married isabella henderson in 1920 and had 6 kids, isabelle who married george william peters, george 1898 he died in 1899, william freer 1893, alison 1890, henry stewart1904, alexander 1881, thomas 188, christina noble 1886, john 1891, cant find anything on most of them. thanks katie

thanks for that, i dont have a clue when they got married , the first birth that i have for them is 1791, thats were i started 20 years before and after.  i was looking for a child called after alexander but have found nothing on that. i didnt have joseph birth thanks for that, but i have thomas born 1791 and john born 1797.    thanks for your help katie

HI, CAN ANYONE HELP, THOMAS COCKBURN WAS BORN IN BERWICKSHIRE PRESTON, TRYING TO TRACE HIS FAMILY.NOT SURE BUT I THINK HE WAS BORN IN OR AROUND 1792, HE MARRIED ELSPETH KAY IN RATHO IN 1820, BUT HE DIED IN LARGO FIFE IN 1852. THANKS
