Lancashire Lookup Requests / Re: PENNINGTON 1841 - John, Ann, James and Henry
« on: Wednesday 11 October 17 16:44 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I've just come across your post.

John and Ann were my 3x Gt Grandparents, their son John (1829) was my 2x Gt Grandad, his daughter Rebecca (1865) was my Gt Grandma (I have photos of her).

I live in Standish and remember Engine Row before it was demolished.

If you want any info on the Penningtons, let me know and I'll tell you as much as I can.

Hi

I've found who I think may be the same Thomas Foley in the 1871 census, but he is married and living with his wife Martha Jane and a 1 year old son named James.

They live at 32 Bridgewater Street, Manchester, his occupation is a dyer, but on this census he has his birthplace as Ireland.

They are sharing the house with 2 other families.

In 1881 they have moved to 19 Ruby Street, Salford
There is Thomas, Martha Jane, Thomas Jnr, Richard and Louisa.

I have found a death register for a James Foley born 1870, died Oct 1871 in Salford.

If you need anything else, let me know.

Alison
