Hi thank you so much to both of you....

Perhaps I have gone off on the wrong family then. How do you know you are with the right family when the names are the same?

The only concrete information I have is my grandmothers marriage certificate saying her father was William Honey, hotel proprietor....
Also my grandmother's birth certificate born in Diddlebury, Ludlow, Shropshire and parents listed as Robert William Honey and Edith Clara Gurney.

A little clue maybe? I have a copy of a letter of reference from my grandmothers school in Breconshire, Builth Wells, but the family could have moved of course.

Should I order the marriage certificate of William and Edith? Not sure what to do next?

Thanks. Sam

Hi
I'm new to this site, :) maternal side on my grandmother's side names are William Honey and
Edith Gurney who are listed on the census a couple of times (1910 and earlier?) as being the publican/residents of the 'Gas Works Tavern' which doesn't seem to exist anymore. Anyone researching these names or information on the tavern would be wonderful.

Thanks :)

Hi,
kinda new to this website, but been very slowly researching my family history from Australia. The above names are from my paternal side.... just wondering if anyone is researching these families and have any information...
Mildred Currey FAIRLESS is my g grandmother, she married Edward Davidson PATTISON around 1900.
His father was also Edward Davidson PATTISON born around 1854 Newcastle upon Tyne, he married Eleanor Sarah McLain b. 1854 Hepburn Northumberland.

Would appreciate any help/guidance/suggestions etc! Thank you ...

Ps how do you put the surnames you are researching on your email or whatever?
