Hertfordshire / Are you descended from WREN's (abt 1800) ex Ware and Wareside areas
« on: Sunday 11 September 16 06:06 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for any persons related to, or descended from, John Wren b 1809 Ware, who married Eliza Hankin, b 1811, m 1931, or any of their siblings descendants please.   John died in 1882.
I know of these Wren siblings (John's) - Hannah b 1801, James b 1803, Amey b 1805, Eliza b 1812 and Rachel b 1815.
And these Hankin siblings (Eliza's) - Rachel, Caroline, Ellen, Thomas, William, Emma, George.
John and Eliza's children were: William b 1833, John b 1835 (my gg-grandfather), Philip b 1838, Thomas b 1841, Mary b 1846, James b 1848 d 1911, Emma b 1851, George b 1857
John b 1835, married Eliza Pearson in 1855, and their children were: John b 1855, Samuel b 1857, Selina b 1861 d 1881 - my great grandmother, George b 1830, Thomas b 1865, Henrietta b 1869, Maurice b 1871, William b 1874, Silas b 1876, Elizabeth b 1882
Selina's daughter, Florence Edith, was my grandmother and lived with her grandparents as a child after Selina died in 1881.   She later emigrated to New Zealand.
I would love to learn more about this Wren family as it developed from this time on (1880's).
There must be many cousins and I would be very happy to make contact.
I have researched back into the 1600's which shows them living in the Braughing and Standon areas.   I am happy to share my information with other family members.

With thanks and kind regards
from Queensland, Australia, originally from New Zealand

Hi Steve,
I just found out about Rootschat today - saw your 2006 post re George Wren.
What is your connection to him please?   I have a connection to his sister, Selina.
Regards
