Could I ask would it be possible for you to look for a marriage of Sarah Grren, i know that she was born in 1885, and beleive that she married someone with the surname od donald. I also presume that she lived at Baker Street. Sorry its not a lot to go on, and I do appreciate the help, as obtianing the Scottish details is not so easy in England.

Thanks again,

Derek

Would anyone be able to help me find any records for the British Aluminium Company in Greenock for the early 1900's, as i beleive that my Gt Grandfather Walter John Green was works manager around this time, but I would like to confirm this as a certainty. The only other thing that I know about him, is that he lived at 17 Baker Street Greenock.
I do hope that someone may be able to help,

Kind regards,

Derek

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Re: burial look up request for john green and wives.

Thanks again K,

I honestly cannot fathom where I got the name of Rose from, and perhaps best to forget that. John is listed on the 1861 census with Sarah, and she gives her birthplace as Stowupland, which I beleive is not far from Neeham Market.
i suppose Green is a common name to be researching, especially as there seem to be so many children from the two marriages, and who knows how many siblings John had!
Thanks so much K

thank you once again K,

Do i take it that there is no mention of Johns second wife sarah, whose surname
I beleive was Rose, but i cannot guarantee this.

My lineage is from John and Sarah via there son Walter John, who I know moved from the area to Scotland, then to Chesterfield where he died. His son William Green was my grandfather who I never knew.
I really appreciate the information you have provide so far, as i am very keen to find out any thing about john and his tailoring, and hopefully one day his parents too.

Kind regrads,  Derek

Thank you for your help,
John Green was a Tailor, whom i beleive had his premises in the high street in Needham Market, which is where he is listed in both the 1841 and 1851 census, and his age ties in on both of those census wih a birth year of 1791. Would be really nice to know where on high street!

I have come to a compete stop on my research for my gg granfather John Green, who was born in 1791 in Needham Market, and is listed as died bosmere around January 1879. I visited Needham market recently to look for his grave, or that of either of his wives, 1st margaret, and second Sarah who was 35 years his junior, all with no success. I now understand that burials took place at nearby barking, and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to help me in my search for the graves or any inscriptions, that may help me in my quest to trace my familt further.

Thank you

Derek

Thank you Monica for that.
As a start, at least I know that the Duncan Donald name is correct, which in turn has proven Jean and Sadies surname

Kind regards Derek

I would appreciate any help in searching for Sarah green born 1885 in Ireland but lived in greenock from the age of 2 at 17 Baker street. Her parents were Walter John Green and Emma (Keeble). I am trying to confirm:

1. Sarahs marriage to whom I beleive was Duncan Donald, who was a shipyard foreman and stood 6' 7" tall. (They lived very close to Morton F.C.)
2. Sarahs daughter Jean birth date or year, and Jeans marriage to a person who is only known at this stage as John!

Jean had a sister named Sadie, who continued to live in Greenock after Jean and Johns departure to Chesterfield in the late 1950's.

I understand that the information I have is limited, and that I may be asking for a lot of information, but would really appreciate any snippet anyone maybe able to offer.

Thank you Derek
