Her father's name looks like Daniel Mason add - or Maron or Maton

I thought it might have been Maron. Thank you very much for the reply.

I'm really struggling with this side of my family. I can't seem to find much about them and when I do it just confuses me even more  :-X

Does Abigail Woolston on the marriage record have the same surname as her Father Daniel? His surname looks like it starts with an M and I don't see the Wool part of it.

Thanks

Dorset OPC site has his name as Farell   ::)

 http://www.opcdorset.org/GussageStMichaelFiles/GussageStMichaelMars1654-1837.htm

Possible baptism:  Israell Gue, 1627, at Ringwood, Hampshire;  father Thomas.

Numerous online trees giving a birth in Gussage All Saints but no source shown.  ::)

Thank you for the info.

I did see him in quite a few online trees but also couldn't find any sources for his birth on them either. But the one in Hampshire looks promising.

Would I be right in thinking he may be Jewish? my Dad seems to think the surname Gue/Giew stands for Jew.

I can't seem to find any birth information or parental information on a 10 x Great Grandfather called Israel Giew/Gue. He died 1692 in Gussage All Saints, Dorset, England. He married a Grace Lane.

I have reason to believe he may have been Jewish due to his first and last name? not entirely sure though or if this would be the reason I can't find any type of birth record. Could anyone help?

Many thanks!

The Common Room / People stealing things off your tree?

Hello

Not too sure if i'm being a little pathetic or if I'm right in my feelings.

I had a distant Cousin contact me through Ancestry, we share a set of Great Great Great Grandparents. Which Is fine, I let him view my tree but then I have found he has screen-shotted my pictures and then re-uploaded them as his own, pictures of my Mother, Father, Grand-parents and Great- Grandparents. There's dozens of pictures that I have spent a great deal of time restoring and also images I have shared on here to be restored. He has copy and pasted a story word for word that I wrote about one of my ancestors and then passed it off as his own..... This story took me years to put together and involved a lot of research and visits to London to find out what happened to said person.

He knows how to use the 'add to my tree' option as he's done it with 3 other images but the dozen other and the story he's re-uploaded as his own.

If I ever take anything from some else's tree I will always ask and always make sure the person who I originally got the information from is credited.

Am I being pathetic or would it slightly anger you also?

Thanks

The Common Room / Re: Death Certificate...

The death certificate gives Bertha's normal address as the same as Frederick's, so she died away from home.

A quick search shows 73a Devons Rd as the Poplar and Stepney Sick Asylum, later known as St Andrews Hospital.

Thank you. I thought as it was under occupation it meant that was where she worked?

I had just Googled the address where she died before refreshing here and had come to the same conclusion!

Oh I seem to have jumped to conclusions!! I now understand the death certificate a little clearer. Thank you for your help!  :-[ ;D
