Family History Beginners Board / Re: Walter Taylor/Rose Caroline Parry

Sorry I have not responded for some days. Earlier I posted that I did not recognise the address 19 Lee Terrace I have since found out that When my dad was "adopted" by a couple James and Caroline Barnes, on their marriage certificate dated 1902 Caroline was shown as C Matthews living at 19 Lee Terrace, she was 10 years older than Rose. I did wonder if there was a connection between the Barnes and Parry families, looks like another area of research to undertake.

I have found 3 possible, earlier, arrivals for Rose in Canada the first is Feb 1911 Rose Taylor landed at Halifax NS on board the Royal Edward, second Feb 1913 Rose Taylor landed at Halifax NS on board the Teutonic, and lastly Aug 1913 R C Parry landed at Quebec on board the Scotian. This assumes that she was married already. Not sure that any are correct.

Walters age is a presumption taken from family trees for Rose Caroline Parry that I have obtained from Ancestry.com

Thank you all for your responses, in answer to your questions. I do not have any Canadian birth, marriage or death certificates.
Edwin Jack could have been named after Rose Caroline's father, he was George Edwin Parry born 1847 in Bromley Kent.
Rose and Phyllis both entered England in Nov 1916 and returned to Canada in Oct 1918 under the name of Taylor (return designation Regina Sask) leaving baby Edwin in England.
I have all 3 B.M.and D.certificates for Edwin as he was my father.
I think my next line of research will be to track down Phyllis (my aunt) in Canada and Rose's siblings in England, any other suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.

Earlier on you quoted Lee Terrace Blackheath, its not an address I have come across but only a few streets away from 246 High Road Lee where Edwin was born, Rose's parents address confirmed by directories in Lewisham Library. I have been wondering if Walter was a fictitious person but there is the daughter Phyllis who is recorded mainly in Canada so I will  concentrate on Walter in Canada.

Thanks for responding, just getting to grips with the messaging system I guess you can both see my response so this is to the second message.

Thanks for information I had not looked for yet. I have been concentrating on events that happened after her son Edwin was born and before Rose went back to Canada to marry Dwight Edwin Robinson in Saskatchewan in December 1918 and leaving Edwin in England.

I don't know if Walter was English or Canadian, not found him on passenger lists entering or leaving either country.

Having such a common surname searching through 20 thousand hits for one name is a bit of a task.

Thank you very much for responding so quickly.

Walter's name and occupation have been taken from his son Edwin's birth certificate.

I have not been able to find a birth, marriage or death record for Walter in either England or Canada.

I am searching for any information of my grandfather Walter Calvin Taylor his second name could be Edwin possibly miss-read from the original document as Edwin has been used within the family his occupation in 1917 was a master stonemason. Records indicate that Walter had two children with Rose Caroline Parry the first being Phyllis May Rose Taylor born June 1915 in Regina Canada and the second being Edwin Jack Anderson Taylor born February 1917 in Lee, Lewisham in the county of London, England. I have traced Rose and Phyllis's family trees which show Walter as being related and his approximate birth date as 1892. I can find no other records for Walter, if anybody can provide me with information about Walter I would be very grateful so that i can continue research into my paternal family history.
