Hi,
Did you obtain an undedacted image of that 1923 marriage? Unless you actually ask for the undedacted version, they block out the offending words. I can see mention of that marriage on your earlier thread re John. Who were the witnesses, and what info is on it re John and Nellie? We can try to research with a blocked out version, to avoid ordering the m.c. a second time.
Do you know if Nellie and John were together back in April 1922 ... See the newspaper, The West Australian 7 April 1922. There are some adverse words in that cutting.

Hey, i am the grate grandaughter of Julia Darby, she had another child Margaret Hanbury (nee Darby) when she was very young who was taken from her only months after she was born. We know of nans (Margaret) sisters - Ethal and Hazel who she was lucky enough to meet in her life, my mum has met a few of their family. I believe everyone else had already passed by the time she found them. I have a photo of the 3 of them, will never forget that day as a young girl, i will dig it out. They bought with them the picture of Nan Julia but that is all we have of her. For us it has been very difficult as Nan was taken and never a part of the family as such, she only found everyone in her late 50s. We still dont know who Nans father is. Any info would be amazing and ill keep track of the post.
Hi there,Thank you jorose
When was Ethel born and do you know where? Have you managed to locate a possible birth certificate for her? Depending on whether Jimmy listed himself on her birth there might be some information about him there.
Do you have her marriage certificate? Does it show him and any information about him or her mother?
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/26908965?searchTerm=%22James%20Curtis%22
- this particular article confirms that in 1910 James purchased Murramunda station but it seems could not get the stock to make it a going concern and went bankrupt.
Have you looked on http://trove.nla.gov.au ?
There seem to be a few mentions of a James Curtis of Ethel creek in the Bankruptcy Act section of the newspapers in 1914 and then in 1922 a notice to his creditors as he had passed away.
