John's father was also John Pringle and Margaret's father was Joseph Nelson. It was on 11 January 1855.

There was Rev. Charles Beresford who was Rector of Bailieborough and died in 1849 of, I think, typhoid fever. I'm wondering is he related because there are also Pringles in the surrounding area. Hope it helps,
Adam

If anyone has information on the Pringle family in this area near Moybologue pre-1875 it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Adam

Does anyone know anymore about the ancestors of John Pringle who married Margaret Nelson in Carrickmacross in 1855? It would be greatly appreciated, I know about him and his family but not really the generation before,
Thanks
Adam

Hi, I am researching the Pringle family of Killigriff/Tierworker on the Meath/Cavan border and I think that they are related to the Caledon Pringles. I have gone back to around 1820, which I think is when they moved to Killigriff, on the Tithe Applotment Books they are listed as George Pringle and brothers, representing William Pringle. I have more info on their descendants but near nothing on them or where they came from. Could you tell me more about this Mary Pringle please?
Also John Hamilton moved to Caledon area in the 1600-1700s and some of the people he brought over named children in his honour, I just saw someone in the comments had that as a middle name, hope it helps!
