  hi l dont know if this is anything but my grandfather James okane was married to marron McCormack they lived in 7 Albert street possilpark  witch l think changed its name to possil road my grandfather died in a drowning in 1913 and my grandmother 1915 with heart trouble there was 5 kids left marron was from mull l think the children some went were taken there but l am still searching one might have been rose as my grandfather's mother was rose as l say l am still trying think l have started rambling again

hi my dad thomas cuthbert died 1950 in glasgow but he was born in dundee lochie  he was adopted he was a chef traind at glen eagles so he work all over the place and l cant seem to find him anywhere  l am truly stuck help anyone

hi  my grandfather was james okane married to marrion mac cormack 1900 my mothers sister lived in springburn died l think in 1963 its a bit foggey because my gfather was married before to a mary mclauhlan they had two children mary and hugh my grandfather deid in 1913  he  :-\was from ballymoney if you think its the same l have got a bit more

hi me again l was wondering if you had tried the the mac MacCormick families of the isle of Iona and the Ross of mull l think your Niel is on it have a look let me know its run by Gordon mac cormick he was very helpful when l phoned him as l am so far away l have got to rely on the phone a lot and he gave some very useful information anyway   hope its a help ´eve p.s merry xmas  8)

hi Linda kilfinchen kilvickion is a district of the isle of mull l had the same trouble my mothers family also come from there in fact my gggrandmother   was Catherine MacArthur married to James MC Cormack hope this makes sense

Here's a short report from the Scotsman 10 October 1913

Body Found in Forth and Clyde Canal - The body of a man named James O'Kane, aged 45 years,was recovered from the Forth and Clyde canal, opposite the City Sawmills, near Rookvilla, Glasgow, last night. Deceased was a waggon-builder in the employment of the North British Railway Company. He was married, and resided at 7 Albert Street.
