Northumberland / IGI help
« on: Saturday 17 April 10 08:34 BST (UK)  »
I have an IGI entry (from fiche) which I think might be correct but no parish name is given. Is there any way of tracing the location please?

The  entry is for Andrew Gillrie  - parents Andrew Gilrie and Ann Bell.
Date December 1810.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you.

Cheshire / Re: John Cook of `Warkonley, Cheshire.

My e-mail system has been playing up so just in case my earlier `thanks` did not arrive could I thank all who helped me with my query  - I would not have read it as Barthomley. I think the baptism is possibly correct too so I am now a line further back.
Many thanks again.

Ireland / Re: James Grayley - Ann Taylor marriage-probably Ireland.
« on: Saturday 16 January 10 06:52 GMT (UK)  »
Great news!.  I have just obtained the marriage cert for James and Charlotte Rothwell. I have James's birth cert too - I expect you have both?
The children I have are 1901   - Annie, Richard (direct line) Charlotte and in 1911Charles Alice and John.
I would be interested in the descendant line if you would like to share it. I bought an old map of Wallsend yesterday to see where the family lived c.1900's.

I cannot get any information about the Irish line.

At present I am tracing the Rothwell line and I am back to John b.c.1834 in Lancs and his wife Ann J born in Cumberland.

If you have not got this infromation let me know and I will forward it.
Thanks for the contact .

The Common Room / Ireland to Englamd passenger lists?
« on: Saturday 02 January 10 06:12 GMT (UK)  »
Could anyone suggest sites for passengers sailing from Ireland to England between c.1840 and 1857 please?

I have James Grayley b.c.1829 in Ireland who shows up in Northumberland in the 1861 census.
He might have already been married to Ann Taylor born in Ireland c.1832 and a son Hugh b.c.1857.

Where else can I post Irish queries into Rootschat if I don't a county or parish?

Thanks for any help.
