Hi Sim030604

As you already knew your great grandmother’s surname, birth year and address have you searched local newspapers, doing a search for Queenan, to see what might appear?

I don’t imagine photos were plentiful in those early years, but you might be lucky.

Kind regards

When James died in 1881, his occupation was stated to be a Carpenter and Thomas was the Informant.

When Thomas Brien, a 30 year old widower, of Fountain re-married in 1876, his occupation was stated to be a Carpenter.  His father is shown as James (Alive).  See below :-

Is this the family you are looking for?

Hi

While there were Warrens in Waterford around that time, you mention your great Grandfather came from Wexford.  Do you know which area in Wexford?

Kind regards

Hi Galway1966

While the original question was posted by Blue-Sten in 2005, they were online here on 3 March 2020, so hopefully checking in every so often!  Fingers crossed.

Kind regards

Are these your folk?

Hi

If you know the name of the school your Mum attended, they may have kept an old group photo.
