Dublin / Burial record for Edward Byrne

Hello Rootschatters,

I am wondering if anyone can help me please.

My great grandfather, Edward BYRNE, from Cottage Place, Dublin died on the 5th of November 1896.
He was Catholic.
I have tried Mount Jerome and Glasnevin cemeteries for his burial place, but so far no luck.
Where else can I look?
Thanks in advance.

I would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to everyone who has helped me in my search. You are all so kind, helpful and knowledgeable.
I would like to apologize for my error in putting Thomas Artery down as a blacksmith and not a carpenter.
I appreciate everyone's kindness in taking the time to help me.

Kindest regards,

Nora

Hello Rootschatters,

I am wondering if anyone can help or advise me where to go next please.

I have a marriage of a John MITCHELL to a Margaret ARTERY on the 22/11/1870 in St. Peters Dublin. They were Church of Ireland.
John was a corporal in the Scotch Fusilier Guards based in Beggars Bush Barracks at the time.

Johns father, also called John was a blacksmith. No address given for him.
Margarets father, Thomas ARTERY, also a blacksmith, lived at 46 Haddington Road, Ballsbridge.

I cannot find either family on the 1901 census nor the 1911 census. I have tried deaths for both fathers and no luck. Any ideas on where I go next?
Thanks for any help/advice in advance.
Nora

Thank you Athacliath62 and Kiltaglassan for the advice on this.

I at least have points of reference now that I can search through.

Kindest regards and Happy New Year.

Hello Rootschatters,

Happy New Year to you all.

I am wondering if anyone can please advise me.

I have an ancestor born in Shillelagh in 1875. Where would the nearest Catholic parish church be?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Aghadowey,

Thank you so much for your link to the Unitarian church site. I will see if I can find any church baptisms for 1870.

Kindest regards,
