There are several trees on Ancestry.  That have differnet fathers for George.

One option is Samuel Gregg and Mary.

Other Option is Robert Gregg and Mother surname Oliver

I have contacted these trees to find out what evidence they have.  Is there a way I can find out which is correct.

Thanks

Does that mean it could be George Gregg my 4ht Great Grandfather.

George married Mary Hargreave on the 5 Jan 1818, Note his surname was Craige on the marriage record.     Film Number 990889 Handsworth

George is down as Criage married Mary Hargreave.

There is a George Craig buried at Handsworth 7 April 1840 age 41 cannot find death on GRO
George was not on the 1841 census

She Sent to Sheffield Registrar for Georges Death certificate, but no luck they couldn't find one (looking about 1/4/1840) Just before the burial.
