Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Re: Barney Dury
« on: Wednesday 24 March 21 18:05 GMT (UK)  »
There is this record, not sure if it is 'your' Barney :-\

Lincolnshire Monumental Inscriptions - Market Rasen Old Cemetery

Bernard Deary, age 71, year of birth 1815. Death date: 1st June 1886.
Husband of Elizabeth.

Then this possible baptism:

Bernard Deary baptised 8th March 1818 Foulsham, Norfolk
Father Bernard Deary, a drover and mother Ann

(1881 Census Barnett says he was born in Norwich)

Think this may be him i will look into this line more thank you for the help

The easiest way is to order a copy of the birth certificate then you will be able to see all the information thereon.

The details imply his parents were male Beddows and female Lloyd so you could look for a marriage between those surnames prior to the birth.

Do you know if he had any brothers or sisters?  If so you can check for their births using the two surnames you have found.

I don't know much about that side of the family only recently found out who my grandfather was and that he passed 2 years before I was born as I was under the impression he died long before I was born.

World War Two / Arthur James Derry

Trying to find records of my grandfather Arthur James Derry who I believe was in the royal signals during the war I also believe he was part of the motorcycle display team and was at the top of the pyramid due to his size, we think he served in Italy and was also a barber but apart from that, that's all we have and if I have posted this before I apologise as it been a while since I have done any research on the family.

Thanks in advance
