Thank you so much for all the replies, I am now thinking that the Arun river at Littlehampton is a distinct possibility, given the travelling distance and the fact that Sunny Snaps operated in the area.
Thank you for the link NettieS, the book looks very interesting, worth getting a copy when it's published. Thank you all again, I knew RC wouldn't let me down.

This is my grandmother and grandfather in 1939 on a day trip I assume, as they never travelled very far. They lived in Slough, so somewhere on the south or east coast maybe. Many thanks.

Thank you japeflakes, archivescan, stevew101, saddles and ymfoster, I can now see their faces. Just goes to show what emerges when you know the correct buttons to press.

Thank you all for your efforts.  :D

You did such a good job on my previous posting, is it possible to sharpen and tidy up this one. It was taken in 1929 in Barrow in Furness before my Grandma moved south, she never returned home, so this is the last photograph I have of her and her mother and sister.
Black and white will be fine.

Many thanks

Linda

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Tidy up Grandma Please

Hi- first time poster here. Could someone please tidy up my Grandma, the picture was taken in Barrow in Furness about 1921, it shows my Grandma (on the right) and my Auntie Kate. Written on the back of the photo is 'The developer dropped something on the film and had to cut off our feet it also ran down the film and caused the marks you can see' written by Kate I presume.T

This is the only picture of my Grandma that I have, the other one is very faded, so I will be very grateful.

Many thanks
