Just to add that Frank and Rose Smallbone are showing in Berkshire Electoral Rolls at Catmore Farm during the 1940's and 1950's ( viewable on Ancestry).

Further to the above ( and apologies if this is all a bit convoluted but it has been an interesting search!).

Bronwen Holt Newell married Cedric Kearley in 1944. She then travelled to Philadelphia in 1946. Note on the attached record she names her Aunt as Mrs F Smallbone of Catmore Farm Newbury.
Mrs F Smallbone is I believe Rose H Cooper, sister of Annie Elizabeth. Rose H  Cooper married Frank Smallbone in Faringdon Berkshire in 1917.

In the 1901 Census Annie is recorded as Annie E Coope . She is living with her sister and brother in law in Porthmadog. In this transcription her sister's married name is incorrectly transcribed as Horewell - it should actually be Newell. Her brother in law is John H Newell, ( The H is for Holt). Subsequently he became a clerk in holy orders. ( Note Mary Anne's place of birth as Kelton).

This is John Holt Newell in 1911

He then moved to Suffolk and a daughter Bronwen was born there in 1914.

There is an incoming passenger list on Ancestry for Bronwen Holt - Newell in 1944 age 30 - her address in the UK is given as Catmore Farm, Catmore , Nr Newbury, the same as in your opening post.

This is a link to the Findagrave record for Jean Taylor McLachlan and Hugh McLachlan in Cranshaws Churchyard. Looks like he remarried.

i would have thought you will have paid for the full entry as well as the corrected entry, BB. So if you go back into SP you should be able to access it.

Just one or two other things I have found.

1. A free search on SP shows the Schulmans were still in Aberdeen in the 1911 . As well as David and Annie there is a 5 year old Eva Barrett Schulman. ( Unable to find a birth for Eva).

2. There is an article in the Lancashire Evening Post 6 April 1921 about an Annie Shulman of 83 Chorlton Road, Manchester who was charged at Manchester County Police Court with pretending to tell fortunes. The defendant called herself Madame Barrett.

3.Worth finding Annie in the 1921 census as Annie Johnson and the daughter with her. Ancestry trees have a daughter born in 1910 for her- census evidence from 1911 and 1921 suggest she was somewhat older!

It is certainly an intriguing situation you have found, BB.
