Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Garrett PARKER - Was he in Glamorgan in the 1861 Census
« on: Thursday 17 February 05 13:31 GMT (UK)  »
Hello everyone

I'm looking for Garrett PARKER and he may have been living in Dowlais or Gelligaer in 1861.  Can someone see if he was in either of these places (or anywhere else near them)?  I would be very pleased is I could find him.  Also, just on the offchance, does a Michael BURKE appear (born Ireland) with a son John who would have been about 3 years old at the time.  They ended up living in Monmouthshire but may have lived previously in Glamorgan.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Chrissie

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / 1861 Census Lookup Required BURKE of Bedwelty
« on: Tuesday 15 February 05 14:16 GMT (UK)  »
Hello everyone  :)

Has anyone got the 1861 Census for the area of Bedwelty? I'm looking for Michael BURKE (who was born in Ireland) and his family.  His son John would have been about 3 years old at the time of the 1861 Census.  John was born in either Bargoed (1881 Census says) or Argoed (1901 Census says).  I would appreciate if someone could look up the family if they have a copy of the Census.

Also the family of Catherine PARKER who lived in or around the same area.  Her father's name was Garrett PARKER.  If Catherine appears she would have been very young.

Thank in advance.

Regards

Chrissie

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / 1891 Census - Wood family
« on: Sunday 13 February 05 13:08 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace Robert & Ellen WOOD in the 1891 Census.  Their son Richard WOOD was living with VARY relatives and my grandfather was a Lodger in another household (aged 10!) and both boys were in Lund, ERY.  My problem is: ??? Where were their Dad; Mum & Sister Sarah?  ??? I have the 1891 Census for the area, but not the index!  Does anyone have a full index for the area?  I would be grateful for any help.

Thanks

Chrissie  :)

Hello everyone  :)

Does anyone have access to the 1871 Census for the Lund & Lockington areas in the East Riding of Yorkshire.  I am looking for the families of Ellen VARY and Robert WOOD.  By 1881 they were married and living in Lund, possibly in the same house as Ellen's family.  My grandfather, Arthur WOOD, was born in Lund in 1880.

Thanks

Chrissie  :)

Thank you very, very much.

Monmouthshire Lookup Requests / BURKE Family of Bedwelty
« on: Friday 11 February 05 18:29 GMT (UK)  »
Hello I've just found this site and thought I'd register to try to find out about my husband's family that lived in Bedwelty.  Michael & Margaret BURKE moved from Ireland and settled in or around Bedwelty (I've found them on the 1881 Census).  Their son John is my husband's great-grandfather.  John married Catherine PARKER in 1881 and my husband's grandfather Dan John was born in 1901.  Could anyone look up the census records prior to 1881 so that I can trace the family back a bit further.  Anything will help.  Thank you very much.
