« on: Thursday 03 May 12 21:22 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
I'm looking for information regarding Michael Murphy b. Sept 1859 Westmeath Ireland.  He moved to the US and was made a citizen on 27 April, 1885 in New York. His parents were Owen & Mary Murphy.  He was back living in Ireland by 1901.  I would like to find out when he went to the US, where he lived or any other information regarding his time in the US.
Many thanks

United States of America / Maria (Mary) Monaghan
« on: Monday 18 July 11 16:00 BST (UK)  »
I have posted this before but am hoping with a bit of time some information may come up.
Maria Monaghan (born 1858, Westmeath, Ireland- parents Daniel Monaghan & Mary Hogan) had a child Mary Monaghan in 1877 and the following year married the childs father George Small.
She left Ireland some time later, with or without the child and certainly without the husband, and went to the USA where she married (illegally) a Mr. Nolan and had 2 if not 3 more children - a daughter married a Mr. Sherry and a son became a priest (Dominican, I believe) and he travelled to Ireland in the early 1930s to visit.  I have no information on the first names of the Nolans.  Can anyone help locate Maria??
