Pembrokeshire / Henry Dawkins -Pembrokeshire
« on: Friday 18 January 13 16:19 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All

I have been researching the Dawkins family tree from Wales for about a year and a half now, and I am at a point where I think I can go no further.

I no I have in the past asked for help on this site, so I hope it is okay to do so again.

I have managed to get my family back to a generation of :-

Henry Dawkins who died 111.10.1745 In Bosherston, he was married to a Sarah who died 07.05.1743 also in Bosherston. They have children Lewis 1694, Henry 1695 (my family line) Alice 1707 and Richard 1709.
Now I can not seem to find any more information on either Henry or Sarah and I was just wondering if there is any way of me finding out this information online as I am 7 hours away from Pembroke. I am however coming to Pembroke Dock in May for a week, and am hoping to get to record office/cemeteries/churches to see if I can find any information that.

Sorry long post, my question is do any of you know where or if it is going to be possible to find out any further information on this family i.e. birth marriage, parents.

My Dawkins all seem to use Bosherston Church, Stackpole, St Petrox, church.

I am looking forward to your response, and thanks in advance for any help on this.

(Hope I have made it clear)

Thanks
Kelly

Norfolk / John Savage Help Please
« on: Sunday 26 August 12 18:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

I am just wondering if you could help me with a relative of mine who is appearing to be a pain to find.

The information I have is that his parents are Thomas (gooch) Savage and Sarah Sutton
The gentleman I am interested in is John Savage believed to be born around 1825, who had a child called thomas savage born 1844/1845.
The families tended to stay around neatishead area of norfolk.

I have tried every search I can think of and have not been able to find him, and I live two and half hours away from norfolk so for me to go to the registry office is a bit difficult at the minute.

If anyone knows of either another place I can try searching or knows of anyone researching this family, or who is just willing to have a look just encase I have missed something.
I would really really appreciate it, I am having major issues with this generation.

Many Many Thanks
Kelly

Yorkshire (North Riding) / Jackson Family North East
« on: Tuesday 26 June 12 18:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

I am researching the Jackson family that come from orginiated by the looks of it from Northumberland, but they moved around through chester le street, hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

I was just wondering if anyone else was researching a Jackson family that seemed to come from any of these locations.

My husbands Gran was a Jackson before she married into the Hall family.

So far I have got back to John Jackson 1715-1763 who married Eleanor Wood 1724-1812 in 1740.

Hope this is Okay to post, and I look forward to hearing from someone soon hopefully.

Thanks
Kelly

Durham / Jackson Family
« on: Friday 08 July 11 10:23 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,

I am researching the Jackson family who appear to come from Durham area, and I was just wondering if anyone else had any information on them.
The details I have at the moment are
William Jackson 1801 marries Elizabeth born 1801 and in 1841 lives in Kelloe with children Edward born 1831 and John born 1833. My line follows the Edward and this is the information I have on Edward.
Edward marries Annie Wetherell in 1854 in Kelloe moves to Hartlepool in 1871 and has children William born 1856 Edward born 1858 Elizabeth A born 1860 Emily born 1862 Ada J 1865 Margaret 1868 all children born in Thornly Hill Durahm and then they had Mary A born 1870 in Hartlepool.

In 1871 the family live at cliff terrace Hartlepool, it appears Edward passed away either 1871 or 1878 and the Annie appears to have carried on living in and around the Hartlepool area.

I would love any help or information anyone happens to have on this family, or to get in touch with anyone also researching the family.

Thanks for taking the time to read
Hugs

Yorkshire (North Riding) / The Oakleaf Pub Middlesbrough
« on: Monday 14 February 11 21:25 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I am asking another favor off you all, I think one of my husbands relatives ran the above pub and he remembers it burning down, he believes it was a Christmas eve, but other then that he has no further memories on it.
So I was just wondering if anyone does know anything about this pub, and if they do, do they have a date for when it did burn down, so i could go to the gazette and see if they have an issue archived (you can do this can't you?)

Also any photographs of this pub would be great.

Many Thanks, hope someone can help

« on: Sunday 23 January 11 17:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hello All,

(I have also posted this in the Durham section)

I am looking up the Dawkins family and have come to a stubbling point on some parts of my family history.

1) I have a William Dawkins born 1881 witton park durham, dad is believed to be George Dawkins 1855 Wales.. but we do not have a mam for William -- this is something I would like
2) George Dawkins born 1855/1856 in Wales, has gone missing on the 1881 census -- Any reference for this would help
3) Margaret Dawkins born 1879 found living at home aged 2 in 1881 but then vanishes.. any info on her would be great

Also if anyone has any more information that may help that would be great.

Many Thanks

I am searching the dawkins family tree and have come across a gentlemen who is beginning to give me a headache.

I have this person William Dawkins born 1881 Witton Park Durham living with George Dawkins (father) in 1901 in Middlesbrough, but I would like to find out who Williams mam is.... I also do not have any records for George Dawkis born 1855/1856 in Wales for the year off 1881.

So if any off you can help me find Williams mam and possibly even were George is located in 1881 that would help me greatly.
