The Common Room / Could anyone help to date photo, please?

I know where this beautiful photo is taken and I know that the people are my Shropshire ancestors... I just cannot put any names to the faces because I have no idea of the picture's date.

This picture looks almost like it is pasted onto a heavier backing.

Can anyone help me, please?

I hope that I am not being silly by thinking that this photo was taken in England! Maybe Shropshire? Maybe Cumberland?

A lost relative has marked an 'X' above a house to the left of the church. Does anyone have any ideas? Any address guesses?

Hi everyone, please pardon the silly questions:

Is 'Salop Woodhouse Fields' an actual place... or did the enumerator just record a birth 'in a wood house in a field'?

May I ask if Woodhouse Fields, Blue Hall and Broncroft Park (Much Wenlock, Madeley & Holdgate are mentioned.) might still exist and where to locate on a map and/or on-line?

When is it proper to send a personal message rather than post a reply? Are PMs considered a nuisance? (I like them, but I'm a newbie.) :)

On one hand, I worry about cluttering the board by answering a personal question with uninteresting information.  On the other hand, I worry about being a pest by sending a PM.
