Dublin / Sarah Place

Im looking for information on Sarah Place, Islandbridge, which was a collection of tenements replaced in the late 1960's with the existing flats.
I have heard they were called Sarah's Cottages at one time, and were used to house soldiers and horses originally.
I can find no reference to the place online in any resource, - they were possibly outside the city limits, - or belonged to another parish with a different name.
What Im interested in is their history, and how and when they became tenements availabel to the general population.
