London and Middlesex / Still at a brick wall with my Murray family
« on: Saturday 21 October 23 11:22 BST (UK) »
Good morning all
Following on from my previous post about this family & the very helpful information provided I am unfortunately still not able to pinpoint them as to parents or where in Scotland they came from.
The marriage of Mary Murray to John Busby gives her addreaa as Windmill Street in St James Piccadilly Westminster 15th August 1841 as does Ann Murray in 1838.
Mary Murray (Busby) unhelpfully only gives birthplace Scotland about 1819 through the census.
I am unable to see the marriage of Ann (my ancestry subscription is basic) but I think it might be to a Charles Williams. However if that is correct I cannot find then in Census.
I was also given the information of Thomas Murray marrying Charlotte Cairns 17 July 1836. I found them in 1841. Thomas born 1816 Scotland but no sign of the in 1851.
I was hoping to find Ann Murray in 1841 at Windmill Street or any Murray family there but no luck.
I would appreciate any further help to with this brick wall.
Many thanks
