Hi -  I have an old picture of my grandmother and her friends.  It had been shoved in the back of a drawer and was rolled up, cracked, and damaged as you can see.  I would be really grateful if anyone can restore it.

Thanks!!!

Armed Forces / Uniform Identification
« on: Saturday 27 April 19 04:40 BST (UK)  »
I know this is not a very good picture but am trying to identify this uniform.  Any chance this one could go back to the the Franco Prussian War?  My great grandfather served and the was a picture of him...just trying to decide if this is it.
Thanks in advance--
Deb

We found some glass negatives in my grandmother's old trunk.  I need help dating them to try and figure out who the people in the pictures are.  The sod house with a shingle roof is an oddity to me too...we didn't see many of those in Nebraska...I am wondering if perhaps this was in Indiana before coming to Nebraska.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Another of the scroll style
« on: Sunday 05 April 15 14:55 BST (UK)  »
Good morning.  Yesterday I posted a picture and had some comments of the unusual style of the photograph.  Here is another one from the same old album that was done in that scroll style again.  This one was done in Nebraska instead of Illinois.  This family moved from Illinois to Beatrice Nebraska.  Unfortunately, the pictures were not labeled so I am not sure if this could be my grandfather or one of his siblings.  Maybe one of my great aunts?  I am not sure if it is a boy or girl.  Maybe a girl because of the little pin on the gown. Just thought I would share.  It is hard when you have an entire album of pictures that aren't labeled.
