Wales / What happened to Maggie?
« on: Sunday 11 February 24 17:53 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all, I am struggling to find my great x3 aunt's death. She was born Maggie Broad on 25th April 1882 in Threapwood, Flintshire (Partly in Cheshire) to Edward and Sarah. She married John Huxley in 1904, who died in 1919. Maggie is last found living at The Beech Farm, Worthenbury, Flintshire in 1921.

I can't find any record of her after this. Can anyone help? I have checked Ancestry, FindMyPast, Google and the Newspapers, but no joy.

Staffordshire / Non-conformist records
« on: Friday 03 February 23 20:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, I am trying to trace some of my ancestors who were from Hanley area in Staffordshire. I believe the were non conformist and I am struggling to find many records.
I am back to Charles Billington born 1805 Hanley. His mother was called Mary, which was confirmed when she gave permission for him to marry Hannah Forrester in 1826.
There is a Richard Billington who was married to a Mary, who moved from Hanley to Dumfries in Scotland. He died in 1824. Looking at the 1841 census I think Mary remarried a Mr Henderson. I then think I have found a birth record in 1833 for their son Robert in Dumfries. Father Joseph Henderson and mother Mary Breadbory (probably Bradbury).
There seems to be no trace of a marriage for Mary to either. Can anyone help?!

Warwickshire / Birmingham marriage 1815
« on: Tuesday 19 January 21 21:42 GMT (UK)  »
Hello, does anyone have access to original records for Birmingham in 1815?
I think my ancestor Thomas Hunbach married Elizabeth Wrighton on 25/9/1815, and was hoping to find out more about them. My Thomas was from Shropshire, so I am hoping it may shed light on whether this is the same man.
Find my past just has a transcription.

Hope some one can help :)

Roxburghshire / Recommend a reasearcher?
« on: Monday 21 September 20 10:20 BST (UK)  »
Hello, can anyone recommend a researcher for the Roxb. area?
Trying to get further back with my family (The Knox’s). I have managed to get back to Andrew Knox baptised to Thomas in 1690 Ashkirk.
So already quite far back. Would need a researcher who can do this era.
Thanks In advance 😊

Cheshire / Long lost cousin
« on: Monday 31 August 20 19:19 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the 1st cousin of my grandfather. I know he was born 3rd Feb 1944 at Bickley, Cheshire. The story is he was a bad lad and was sent away. I realise I cant post the full info here as he may well still be living.
With no middle name and a relatively common surname for the area, it is proving difficult to get past his birth!

His father George Frederick Owen 1909-1955. Mother Mary Bradford Dodson 1915-2006 (remarried to Sean J McKeown in 1957 Cheshire. He was alive 1931 - 2009, both died in Kent).

Can anyone help?

Tom
