The Common Room / Where do I go next?
« on: Thursday 28 December 23 20:06 GMT (UK)  »
I have the name of my ancestor, he married in 1807, he was a last maker and that is it nothing else. A kind member produced a list of William Knight but how to go about finding out which may be the person I am looking for. I have his children etc. I know his wife's name and that is it nothing more.

For Sale / Wanted / Events / Family Search BIVRI Set

I have a complete set that will NOT run on Windows 10 64bit, if you are still using XP 32bit  or earlier or Windows 10 32bit it will work on those I am told by a clever member. I bought from LDS and most of the discs have never been opened. Its yours for the the cost of postage, it weighs 600grams so Royal Mail 2nd Class is £2.70 + cost of packing

The Common Room / Where to Go Next Wiliam Knight, born I believe in Hampshire
« on: Wednesday 08 August 18 09:12 BST (UK)  »
How to find out more. My 3x GGfather is a mystery. He must have been born in the late 1700's. I know his marriage date and where. I know his approximate date of death. Between his birth and marriage I know nothing. His wife's details I have discovered. He was Wiliam Knight, born I believe in Hampshire. A Last Maker by trade. And that is it. I live outside of the UK and subscribe to Ancestry so I cannot travel to records office etc. Any ideas? This is really annoying as my maternal line has been traced back to the 1500's
