Hi All

Can you help on this Thread??

What I would like to know is the following...

Where or how do I find out about my ancestor Charles Sansom b.1881?  All I know is that he was a vagrant and is untraceable before he married Sarah Jobson in Birmingham.  I have been told that he had 2 sisters Jane and Kate, who had a secondhand shop in Birmingham.  I have tried to research him and have found several variations on his surname ie Sanson and Sansome but know that his proper name is Sansom.  I am trying to find his parents and other siblings and have come to a full stop.

Hope someone can help.
Brian.

« on: Saturday 07 September 13 01:54 BST (UK)  »
I lived in Ashted Row when I was 5 years of age and used to go down to Vauxall and Duddestion Station that was not a great distance and on my way I used to stop and watch the old Steam Trains pulling into the the yard....Spent a lot of time running around the yard....I remember that it had a Turntable...Watched "The Iron Duke" come into the yard.
What i ask is.....Does anyone have any Photos ??? Especially ones of the Iron Duke.....
This was in the early 1950`s.
Built a load of flats on the site now!!!!...

Anyone got any Ideas or has anyone had the  same experience????

I am trying to trace the Father of my Dad and my Uncle and I am not having any success...

All I have is my Dads and my Uncles Birth Certificates which show "Father" ....Blank....

Grandmas (Dads & Uncles Mom) name was Jessie Elizabeth Morgan. She was a Domestic Servant in Portland, Dorset in 1919 and is recorded as to be living at 9 Brymey Avenue, Portland.

I think she would have been born about 1899.

Know nothing more than her two Sons were sent to an Orphanage in Penarth, South Wales..

As the Father was marked as not known on the Birth Certificate, what can I do next???

in 1921 Jessie was residing at 1 Wyke Road (May not be correct as the writing on the Birth Certificate is not really legible)  in Weymouth....She was then a Domestic Servant @ 84 Grove Fields, Portland...

Can anyone help????

Heneage Street is in Duddeston, Aston, Birmingham.

Appreciate any help.

Hi all

Researching all Shoe Makers in Birmingham for the purpose of finding any links to the Wrights of " Wrights Ropes"
Seems that they assigned a Property in Dartmouth Street and Heneage Street on 8 November 1838.
Assigned to John Turner of Stafford.

Question is where to start on getting any information on John Turner????
