Derry (Londonderry) / Is this the right line....Lucy Allen Londonderry.
« on: Monday 27 June 16 18:01 BST (UK)  »
Hi all hope its ok to post here as i have similar line on another thread but dont know how to join them...
I am trying to trace my Irish family line but getting nowhere fast....what i know is my grandfather was Laurence Allen 1924-1966. His mother was Lucy Allen who was from Ireland...she had a sister Mary and both moved to Glasgow ...The 1901 census shows a Lucy Allen and sister Mary at long tower st Londonderry which i think is probably her... she can be found again in the 1911 census at same address...Her mother is Harriet Allen widowed and now im stuck..
My grandfathers death cert only gives Lucy name no father so prob wasn't married...he died in Glasgow.
