Australia / Samuel William Scott and Ann Kershaw

Hi,

Ann Kershaw was born abt 1861 Learmonth Victoria father Abel Kershaw and mother Eliza Hitchcock.  An old family history shows Samuel William Scott was born 3 Mar 1892 in Ballarat East.  Most of his family was born in Buningyong.  A search of Vic BDM dies not show any of these births including Samuel William SCOTT.

I have looked on ancestry and through TROVE.  Any ideas where to go to look at old birth records around Ballarat and Buningyong.

Hi,

Ada Robertson married George Edwards in Sydney IN 1906.  She was 29 years old , born in New Zealand, father was Andrew Robertson, no mother listed.  I am trying to find birth and migration records.  She was George Edwards second wife, he was a widower.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Information about first marriage would also be good.  Ancestry family trees shows Alice Hanneford as first wife but need more evidence.

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Joseph Cooper and Elizabeth Wright

Hi,

I am in need of advice.  One of my ancestors was Joseph Cooper from Gloucester.  He migrated to the Swan Colony, Fremantle Australia in 1830 on the Warrior with his wife Elizabeth Wright and children Elizabeth Ann (7years), Rebecca (5), Joseph (3) and Mary Ann (6months).  Joseph Cooper was born about 1796 in Gloucester and died in 1847 in Western Australia.  Elizabeth must have been born about 1795 and died in Pinjarra Western Australia in 1876.  I don't seem to be able to find any parents or have any other leads to follow.  Any Suggestions.  many Thanks.

Hi,  I am trying to find details of my great grandfather.  My grandfather John Wilson was born in Lochwinnoch Scotland  in 1894, along with several siblings including Mary Anna Jane Wilson born in 1885 in Banbridge. In 1921 he emigrated to Perth Australia and married my grandmother Maud Horsburgh.  His father  was Thomas Wilson born in Ireland about 1858.  He married Margaret or Maggie Curran in Banbridge in 1882.  Margaret was born in Ireland about 1858 and died in Lochwinnoch Scotland in 1903.  I don't seem to be able to find any information about the births of Thomas or Margaret or their ancestors.  Any ideas what I can do next.  Thanks

Alexander Horsburgh married Emelia Ann Moss in 1862 in Victoria Australia.  I can find no record of birth in Australia.  Does anyone know of a relative who emigrated to Australia that meets this criteria.  There is a record of an Alexander Horsburgh born about 1831 who arrived in Melbourne December 1854 from Liverpool of Scottish ancestry, but I cannot find any links many thanks
