Hi I have a child born as Robert Carson  1885 registered both n Ballintrae Ayr and Glasgow....
The father of this child was a William Stewart , A Miller of Ballintrae who had a sister Jane Stewart...
While Lydia Carson  the mother of the child was in the poor house having been admitted as starving,
 Jane Stewart sister to William stewart ,she lived  Tradeston Glasgow  took the child aged 4 mths and nothing has been heard of it since ...
Ideas please on tracing him ?

I have big mystery on my hands...... Alexander McFarlane Swan Street Port Dundas      (my husband says it was) [/b]
 Alexander McFarlane  says he is born  Ireland.
for Swan street he says on the 1901 Census  born Ireland
 His  birth about 1858. but I thought maybe  he could have said Island! as His son James used to say he could trace his ancestry back to Mary Queen of Scots ! no mention of Ireland his father was Hugh McFarlane .Drover. mother Mary Cameron??

 lives with Lydia McFarlane,m/s Carson,
 Cathrine McFarlane Carson and Alexander McFarlane Carson, son and daughter..Parents did not marry.

Later they have more children two of which i Know !

Donald McFarlane CARSON 1903 born Water Street 
 and James McFarlane Nov 1 1906 same place . James bore the name McFarlane on Birth Cert others carson .def no marriage

Advice please on finding out were he was on the 1911 Census ? who to contact and fee?
He later
lived in 16a Crawford street corner of Townsend Street, Port Dundas and He died there is Sept 1927 aged 69yrs

Hi List,
I have Alfred Lee of Havant who Marr Martha Mildred Charman 1877.....in Ripley.
Alfred was in the Navy  from 1860 to 81 ..
I have no other Idea as to when he died other than  his widow remarried 1905.. would Alfred have a a Naval Pension any one know please? if so How do I go about finding it ?
I believe he was living with Amelia and Henry  Potter in 1901 in Portsmouth  he was def born Havant and added a yr to his age when he went into the Navy!!

Jane Married Dunn son of Thomas Dunn and Agnes/Nancy Lyons Bangor ? maybe newton ardds
Hugh Dunn died in Newton on Ayr 1881 Taylor street
Jane died 1899 top of high street Ayr.
Had children .
One being Mary who died in Florida  after marrying a Sturrok from Ayr.

Agnes Dunn who married Richard Lennox  in Irvine but died in Glasgow1990s.
Richard died 1933 never remarried.anyone in Glasgow have linkss please?
