Lancashire / Double Birth Entry
« on: Friday 12 April 13 19:41 BST (UK)  »
Hi All

I am a bit confused... I was born 1964 I know my mother was married at that time however myself and brother were not brought up by the man she was married to... my brother was born 1966... this man married again in 1968.. Both our parents are now deceased (mum and the man who brought us up)

Now free BMD has started doing births for that year I just looked to see if I showed up  and low and behold there I am with the name of the man who brought us up but also on the same volume and page number showing the surname of the man she was married too... so I have two entries same vol and page number however shows 2 different surnames...

checked my brother who was born in 1966 and same with him two surnames...

There has always been hearsay that I am the child of the married man but that has never been proved but we always thought my brother was my dads (the one who brought us up...

would anyone know why we would both have two entries with different surnames???

thanks

I am unaware if i can post it the details with us being living??
