London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Sophia Hester Butler. Surrey. 1789
« on: Sunday 23 December 18 18:54 GMT (UK)  »
I cannot for the life of me find the birth of my 4th great grandmother Sophia Hester Butler. She married William Sly a Baker in 1816, at Southwark St George, Surrey, her wedding banns say "of this parish". She had 5 kids that I know of, all in the Southwark area. She died 15th August 1849 at Roupell Street.

All sources I have for her indicate a birth year of 1789.

Can anyone help?

The Common Room / Maternity Record Capital T under Previous Labours
« on: Sunday 07 January 18 12:31 GMT (UK)  »
Wasn't quite sure where to put this. I have the maternity records for my great grandmother (giving birth to my grandfather) and just had one question. There is a heading "previous Labours" split into two columns, one sub headed "Mature", the other "Premature". In the Mature column, someone has written a capital T. Does anyone know what the T stands for?

Thank you

Lancashire / Two Missing Davies Births between 1896-1911. Ashton Under Lyne/Oldham
« on: Saturday 06 January 18 19:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me find 2 missing children. Born to Samuel William Davies and Esther Sanderson (Married Feb 1896. Ashton Under Lyne). I know of their existence due to the number of children listed in the 1911 census as 8 (7 alive by 1911, 1 dead). I have found the following 6...

John Henry Davies Jan-March 1898. Ashton Under Lyne.
Horatio Davies 9th May 1900. Ashton Under Lyne.
Samuel William Davies (Jr) 23rd March 1902. Ashton Under Lyne.
Susie Davies Jul-Sep 1907. Ashton Under Lyne.
Charlotte Davies Jul-Sep 1909. Oldham
Jane Alice Davies Jan-Mar 1911. Oldham

As you can see, there is a nice juicy gap between Samuel W Jr in 1902 and Susie in 1907. I've had a search but there are too many entries and I'm unsure how I can narrow it down anymore. As most of you will know, mothers maiden names only started being included by 1911.

Can anyone help or is this a lost cause?

Thanks very much

The Common Room / George Keeler Price On 1847 Marriage Entry
« on: Tuesday 07 November 17 20:53 GMT (UK)  »
I'm curious to find out more about a man who appears on a marriage entry on the 27th April 1847. He is listed as the father of the bride (Ann Holland Price born abt 1827), she is marrying Samuel Crighton in Liverpool.

The man I am interested in finding out more about is named George Keeler Price. I cant seem to find anything about him, despite having such an unusual middle initial. Are there any obvious entries for this man that I am missing?

I should probably order the certificate but have spent too much on the family tree of late  :P

Thanks for looking
