OK, don't know if I should post this here or in the Australia section but I'm sure someone will advise. I though as the ship left from Woolwich I would start here. I have searched a lot of Australian websites but can't find him.
Peter Cameron was convicted in Forres, Morayshire, of culpable homicide and sentenced to transportation for life. I have the newspaper clipping which states that he was to be "put on board the smack "Hope" at Findhorn, to be conveyed to the confict ships lying at Woolwich bound for Australia" Now it doesn't say what ship he was put on, so does anyone know where I can get this informaton. I have been going round in circles and getting nowhere fast! The date of the newspaper clipping is 26 May 1841.
