London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Woolwich Prison Ships
« on: Monday 18 June 07 15:52 BST (UK)  »
OK, don't know if I should post this here or in the Australia section but I'm sure someone will advise. I though as the ship left from Woolwich I would start here. I have searched a lot of Australian websites but can't find him.

Peter Cameron was convicted in Forres, Morayshire, of culpable homicide and sentenced to transportation for life. I have the newspaper clipping which states that he was to be "put on board the smack "Hope" at Findhorn, to be conveyed to the confict ships lying at Woolwich bound for Australia" Now it doesn't say what ship he was put on, so does anyone know where I can get this informaton. I have been going round in circles and getting nowhere fast! The date of the newspaper clipping is 26 May 1841.

Scotland / Precognition - what does this mean?
« on: Thursday 30 March 06 21:31 BST (UK)  »
I have come across a few death certificates while researching my family tree and some say "As A Result Of Precognition". I assumed that this was suicide, but then one cause of death was "cerebral haemorrhage"

Grateful for any help!

Wiltshire Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 Look Up - Hardiman
« on: Thursday 29 December 05 17:15 GMT (UK)  »
Could someone please look up the 1851 Census for Harriet Hardiman, born Corsham in 1842? Her parents were George Hardiman (carpenter) and Mary Mott. I think she had a brother, George, but don't know of any other siblings. I think I found her on the 1861 Census working as a Servant in Kington St. Michael. She eventually moved to London and married my ggrandfather, Henry Vanner. I'd like to find out birth details of her parents and if she had any other brothers and sisters.

Thanks  :-*
