London and Middlesex / Looking for a marriage
« on: Monday 06 July 20 11:09 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,

I am trying to find a marriage between Patrick Carney (1821 Ireland) and Alice Collins (1835 Ireland), sometime before 1854. I am assuming it will be in the Whitechapel area, as their eldest children were born there. I am also assuming that they were RC.

Any help would be gladly appreciated as I am new to London records and have no idea where to start. I have not been able to find anything on ancestry.

Cheers

Waterford / Where to look for baptism records for Cappagh?
« on: Thursday 18 June 20 18:28 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,
I am trying to track a relative back to Ireland. They have given their birth place as Capper, Waterford in the 1891 England Census. I am assuming this is Cappagh. However i don't know where to start looking for baptism records or what parish this would be in. I am assuming again they would be Roman Catholic. Any pointers of where i can look would be great!

Cheers

Kildare / Hit a brick wall! Walsh Family Athy
« on: Thursday 19 September 19 21:43 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,
I am trying to find information about the family of my 3 x Great Grandparents Patrick Walsh and Mary Stacum/ Stakem. They were married in Oct 1839 at St Michaels RC Church, Athy. The only child I have found for them is my 2 x Great Grandfather John Walsh. I am at a loss as to how to locate other children for them. John Walsh was born in 1840 in Ballyfoyle, Maganey and baptized on 17 May 1840.
This is the only info i have been able to track down. Any help will be gladly accepted and appreciated.
Kind regards

Glamorganshire / Birth record
« on: Friday 05 July 19 14:07 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,
I'm looking to get a birth certificate for my 2 x GGmother, the only problem being I can not find her anywhere on the index's.
Her name was Angelina Garibaldi and on the 1871 census her date and place of birth has been given as 1862/3 in Neath. I've tried ancestry, my heritage, family search etc.
Is there anything else I can try? I've tried wildcards and different variations of the surname and different locations is there any reason why I may not be able to find an entry for her?
TIA

Glamorganshire / Missing ancestors in 1881 census
« on: Friday 07 June 19 09:08 BST (UK)  »
Morning all,

Is there any reason why a family would be missing from 1881 census?

I am trying to locate an Angelina Garibaldi, she also used the surname Nicholas.

I have Angelina in 1871 census in Neath. Then she disappears, however I know she was in Swansea in 1882, as the birth of her daughter was registered  there. Angelina use the surname Nicholas to register her daughter.

I have found Angelina's mother Catherine living in Swansea in 1881. However I am not able to locate any of her siblings either.
John Garibaldi 1864 also known as John Nicholas
Timothy Garibaldi 1867 also known as Timothy Sullivan
Mary Ann Garibaldi 1873

I appreciate Angelina and John were old enough to be striking out on their own in 1881, however, Timothy and Mary Ann especially were possibly too young and as far as I am aware should be with their mother or visiting a relative.

Their mother did have a sister Honora Sullivan but I have had no luck there either.

Sorry for the long post but any help would be greatly appreciated

I appreciate the Angelina,

Tipperary / William Sheehy Ancestor from Clonmel
« on: Monday 05 March 18 20:22 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I was wondering where i might find any information on William Sheehy born 1857 in Clonmel. I have hit a brick wall, he came to live in Wales sometime before May 1883. On his marriage certificate his father is listed as Daniel Sheehy, who was deceased. His mothers name was Ann/Anne Ryan. Also not sure if there are any siblings.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Europe / Italian Ancestor: John Garibaldi
« on: Monday 05 March 18 14:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,

I think this may be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but how would i go about finding more information on John Garibaldi, born abt 1822. He came to South Wales before 1861 and married Catherine Sullivan in January 1861 in Neath. On their marriage certificate his father is listed as Dominick Garibaldi.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kris
