Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Ireland Birth Record help with address and maiden name.

I think i can see it says '? by lisburn' for the residence. Cant make out the first word.

I know the Mothers maiden name is actually Jefferson as it is about 2-3 months later on her Marriage record to an Alexander Totten. However i cant make out the word that it says under her name.

I can just about make out this record, the writing is terrible.

I cant make out Susan's Dads name and need it to find her birth record. I think Williams Father is Alex.

Also the occupations.

I think Annie Sprotts fathers name is John Sprott?

Leicestershire / Help Finding Alice Cooke after 1911 and maybe her Mum, Janet Cooke (Holland)

Hi, i have tried to find Alice Cooke for a long time but just cant seem to find her after 1911 in Coventry from her being on the Census.

She was born Elizabeth Alice Cooke in 1909 Loughborough

She had a brother Arthur Thomas Cooke 1908 Loughborough

The only thing i was told about her was that Arthur her brother used to visit her and his Mum. Weather this is true or not im not sure.

Ive tried searching the 1939 census but she may have married by then and dont know where to look. I did think i might have found her at 27 Western Park Road, Leicester but i cant see if that Elizabeth Cooke is married as i cant view the record and there is no birth date shown on the search page.

The reason i thought it might have been her is because ive also been looking for her Mother Janet Cooke (Holland) and thought she might have remarried as Gray and there was a Janet Gray living at 1a Norman Street, Leicester not far from Western Park Road, but unsure weather that's MY Janet Cooke so far.

Janet Cooke was born Lily Jennet Holland - 1890, Theberton

Hoping anyone could help me as I've had some difficult times trying to find these two after 1911.

Hi, im needing some help on finding out more information on a Dolly F Lewis supposdly born 1922 maybe in Sierra leone.

Its quite a long story of how she is connected to my family. I have been searching for any trace of this supposed 'Dolly' that my nan told me about. My nans father Arthur Thomas Cooke born 1908, was an Inspector Of Works and travelled to Freetown in 1950 and returned to the UK in 1952. He was already married and my nan told me that he had brought over a coloured women called Dolly, at this time my Nan was only 12 years old so she does not remember much and only remembered her name being 'Dolly'.

Dolly did not know that Arthur was already married and this sent Dolly a bit mad and she ended up going to the Hatton Asylum. That is the last my nan knew what happened to her.

After a few years trying to find her record of her arrival to the UK, finally came across it the other day! She arrived in the UK a few months after Arthur (i had always assumed she arrived with him on the same boat) She is listed as being Dolly F Lewis age 30 i know this is the same Dolly i have been looking for as her future uk address is the exact same as Arthurs.

However i cant find any information on Ancestry! I thought with her full name and her birth date i might finally be able to find more information but again im not getting anything.

Any advice or help on how i could get more info.

Hi there, im trying to find a 1939 record on Ancestry that i first came across on Findmypast. I only just have a membership on Ancestry. However i cant seem to find the record that was on findmypast on Ancestry?

Wondering if anyone could lend a hand in trying to find it on Ancestry

The record is of a: Lizzie Cooke born 1891
Living at: 36 Gosford Street, Coventry, Warwickshire

I've tried lots of search's with just surname and birth etc.
Would be a good idea if they included a street address search on Ancestry.

Hi, im wondering if anyone can lookup a record for me and see the Fathers name of the bride.

The marriage is between a Thomas Cooke and Sarah Jane Henfrey
1887 in Loughborough

I have been trying to find the father of Sarah Jane Henfrey but having some issues with the last name and not sure if her fathers name was Henfrey or something else and if i could confirm what it was on the marriage record if it on there as i did find the record on family search but i cant see the actual image. If anyone is able to see the Image on Ancestry.

Hello, i tried to figure out what the letters are in these to words so i could translate it but having some trouble. If someone could take a look for me, i have underlined the 2 words in red above the name Joseph Matthews.

I came up with 'later puellae'

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Help making out this short word on a Coventry Baptism Record 1911

Wondering if someone could help me make out this short word that is on a Baptism Record. I have taken a snap and underlined the word in red. I would like to know if it translates into anything as not sure why its in brackets next to the last name of Quaglieri and never seen it before. Also i see there is perhaps some words that have been rubbed out.

I know that the father is Joseph Matthews and not Quaglieri that was Angelina Quaglieri (tuzio) her previous husbands name. I believe this may have been corrected as i did find the Index on Gro 06D 1099 as Arthur Matthews .
