I am trying to find out more about Lucy Ann Lovett (maiden name unknown) who was the wife of Harry Edgar Lovett. When WWI started, Harry and Lucy were living in Paris, Ontario, Canada, and Harry joined up 25 Dec 1915 and was sent overseas. Lucy moved to Clarence House, Clarence Street, Loughborough in Oct. 1916 where she died 27 Feb 1919. Harry was born in Shepshed, Leicester, but we don't know if Lucy was from the area or not. Only a guess that she moved back to be with her family once he'd gone off to war.
Does anyone know if Clarence House was a private residence during this period? Or possibly a boarding house? Without being able to make a trip to England and check the PRO, how could I get her death certificate or burial details that might show who she was. Are there any burial records available online for Loughborough?
Any suggestions?
