Hi,
I am trying to find information on my g. g. grandparents and g. grandparents but really struggling to get service information - a service number would be great.
g. g. grandparents
Name 1: Alexander Ferguson - Quartermaster of the Ordnance Store in Aldershot in 1884 (confirmed by Robert's birth certificate), may have been a temporary captain after this.
Name 2: Emma Ferguson (nee Jones)
[not sure how many children they had, at least one - Robert]
g. grandparents
Name 3: Robert Leonard Ferguson (s/o Alexander and Emma) - born 1884 in Aldershot registered in Farnham, travelled to South Africa with the Royal Navy. Died in Western Cape in 1946.
Name 4: Florence Aniel(?) Ferguson (nee Milkins or Wilkins) - born in 1888 and died in Western Cape in 1940
[at least 3 children, possibly 4 - Florence, Robert and Alfred]
I've tried DNA test and I have a bunch of 4th cousins I can't find how they fit in with my heritage.
Sorry Robert's middle name was Leonard - his son's was Alfred Sidney.
