Ross & Cromarty / Donald and Mary (nee Mackay)Ross

I am looking for more information in particular a photo of Donald Ross who was born c1872 in Tain and died 1960 and his wife Mary who was born in 1873 in Achtoty Skerray Sutherland. Mary died in 1975 in Alness.They married in London in 1909. They had two sons John Donald who married Flora Stewart, and Archibald.
Mary was a sister of my great grandmother.

John was son of George and Annie Mackay from Skerray, Sutherland. He went to South Africa to work in the gold mines.

Isle of Man / Kitto

While searching through a box of pictures in an second hand shop I came across several photos with name of Kitto on the back. There is one photo of Arthur E Kitto and W Frank Kitto 1933, another 2 not named but looks to be an older version of one of these gentlemen, 1 of a man in a court wig - a lawyer perhaps? , 1 of a man in a Navy uniform, and 4 of children. There is the names Joyce and Sheila on the back of one.
The photographer was W H Warburton Douglas Isle of Man.

I am curious as to how they came to be in a shop on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

I'm trying to find out information about Robert Hourston and his family. He was married to Margaret Duggan and they had 7 children. I have them in the 1911 census living in  Brasenose Road Kirby. Robert died in 1929, Margaret in 1954.
Their children were:
Eileen Isabella, James, Robert, Margret Mary, Edward J, Beatrice A and Kathleen.
Robert was from Orkney origianally and Margaret from Ireland.

Trying to find information about Margaret Louttit. Possibly born in Orkney. Married Robert Cummins Wilson sometime after 1894. They had a daughter, Louise born 1898. Margaret was Robert's second wife. She was a nurse. she is listed in 1911 census along with her husband at Port Arthur Ontario, Robert died in 1913. Margaret died in 1940.
Would like to know who her parents were.

Trying to find Hugh Manson born Tongue Sutherland who I believe was living in America sometime between 1871 and 1901. In the 1901 census he is back in Scotland working as a coal miner. He puts his place of birth as America. he died in Omah House ,Cleland in 1925.
Any help would be appreciated.

Orkney / Robert Spence, Crook Birsay

Looking for any connections to this family.
Robert Spence was born 1775 in Crook Birsay. He was married twice. 1st marriage to Catherine Johnston who died between 1818 and 1820. They had 7 children that I have been able to find. His 2nd marriage was to Isoble Whitelaw born 1791 in Gersetter Birsay. They married in 1821. They had 8 children including my gg grandmother Ellen Spence born 1832 at Boardhouse Birsay. Robert was the miller at Boardhouse Mill.
Ellen married Captain James Hourston who was lost at sea in 1880 aboard the
"Maid of Orleans".

Kent / Beryl Eileen Whiteley

Not sure if this is the right place to post this!

Beryl Eileen Whiteley died in 1947 age 22.
She is buried in Woodlands Cemetery, Woodlands Road Gillingham.
I wondered if anyone who perhaps is familiar with the cemetery would be able to take a photo of the grave for me.
Please pm for details of location etc.

Canada Lookup Request / Walter Campbell/Marion Manson and family

I am interested finding out more about this family:

Walter Campbell, son of William Campbell and Isabella Mackay was born c1821. He married Marion Manson daughter of Angus Manson and Ketty Mackay. Walter and Marion married in 1844.
 
They are in Tongue Sutherland until sometime between 1871 census and 1880 when they are listed in census at Hullet, Huron Centre,Ontario.
 
I have 8 children listed for them all born in Tongue and all listed in 1880 census in Canada.
 
According to Ancestry index there is a Walter Campbell who died in 1881 in Huron but I don't have access to find out any more info.
 
I have more info on some of the children and their families
