Hi all,
So I have some information regarding my Dads grandfather, Benjamin Davies born on 05 June 1873. He was capped for Wales twice, and this is the basic wiki page.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Davies_(rugby_union)
We only recently found out about him so have been attempting to find out more. The WRU provided this information:
At various times he worked as a tinplate worker and as a pub licensee. Around 1905 he reported rugby for the Daily Mail and was a very good cricketer. His brother William was a famous 'shooter' who won the Queens Prize at Bisley for shooting in 1893. Another brother David became the editor of the Swansea Evening Post.
I really don't have much of an understanding of how to go digging.
How would I go about looking for any archive pictures?
Any hints or suggestions or information anyone could dig up would be much appreciated. I did try seeing if anyone knew where his Wales cap may be, but the WRU and scarlets didn't know.
many thanks.
