Warwickshire / Wallbank help please
« on: Saturday 19 December 09 19:57 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

My Great Aunt Beatrice Wallbank b 1882 in Dordon Warwickshire and her husband Albert Evans used to run The Wagon Load of Lime Pub in Ansley Nr Coventry for many years.  They married in 1905 and had three children Daisy, Leonard and Winnie.

My mom was born in 1931 and can remember these children when visiting the pub with her mother but I can not find their respective births/marriages or deaths.  :-\

My mom recalls that Daisy never married and died at aged approx 30, Leonard married and had two sons David & Keith and Winnie married a Bob Adkins and had a daughter called Daphne.

I assumed I had enough information to go on but I can't seem to locate them....can anyone help please???  ps there are lots of Wallbanks and my mom had lots of Aunts and uncles so I am getting very confused.

Many Thanks
Gail

HI all,

Does anyone know where I can find any info on Atherstone Workhouse?  :-[

I have a descendant Richard Wallbank born 1791 in Coleshill who could have been an inmate aged 80 in 1871.

Kind Regards and Merry Xmas to every Rootschatter.  :D

Hi All,

If a marriage happened in Ontario in 1920, can any births to this marriage be viewed yet?

I was hoping to see if Thomas Brown & Ethel Brown had had any children

MAY FRANCES NEAL born 6th September 1919 in West Derby to Abraham Neal & Olive Neal nee Moore.

May was my Aunt & a sister my father never knew he had.  I can not find a death or a marriage for May since accidentally coming across her birth 2 years ago.

My father died 4 weeks ago aged 87 and his wish was that I try and find out as much as I could about her.  I have been trying for 2 years and have got no where so I am now asking for any help or advice to fulfil his wish.

Any ideas please :)

Lancashire Lookup Requests / May Frances Neal
« on: Friday 07 December 07 21:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi All,

I have spent weeks looking at records for my Aunt and feel totally deflated.  I have her birth certificate:

May frances Neal
DOB- 6th September 1919 @ 17 Kirby Street
Father- Abraham Neal
Mother- Olive Neal (formerly Moore)

All I have is her birth certificate and I can not find any other records for her.  Her one older brother & one younger brother were put into Barnardos's in 1929 and I'm wondering if she was sent away somewhere also.

Can anyone see any marriage or death record for her:))

Thanks

Hi Rootschat,

Could anyone shed any light onto this please.  If two brothers were put into Barnardos's in the West Derby area in 1929 would their sister have been put in there also or was there somewhere seperate for girls?

Thanks

Lancashire Completed Lookup Requests / Any ideas how I can verify this? COMPLETED THANKS
« on: Thursday 01 February 07 12:22 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace my Gt Grandmother Jane Robinson's birth and family details.
The only info I have on her is from her marriage certificate which tells me she was aged approx 20 in 1883, her fathers name was Henry Robinson and she married in the Parish of Walton on the Hill.
I made contact a few years ago with a distant relative that said Jane and her family were all definately barge people.

On this note I have been looking at censi's with the names Jane Robinson with a father Henry who were boat/barge people.
I think I MAY have found the family on the following cesi looking for Henry Robinson as the lead name:
1851- can not find Henry
1861- RG9; piece 2781; folio 35; page 64
1871- RG10; piece 3883; folio 4; page 1.
1881- RG11; piece 3517; folio 65; page 7
1891- RG12; piece 2831; folio 75; page 14
1901- RG13; piece 3334; folio 10; page 11-Henry is now living with other daughter Elizabeth who is deaf & dumb.  And Jane is now married to James Neal and living in West Derby.

Is there any way I can verify that this is my family as I am at a loose end? Any ideas would be gratefully received :)
Many Thanks in advance
Gail
