This photo was taken early in 1917 in Northern NSW of a newly acquired car.
Can anyone tell what make/ model it is?

Does anyone recognise this old building?  This tiny snapshot (1.5"x2.5") was among a miscellaneous collection of old family photos. I am only guessing that it might have been taken in the 1940's and possibly somewhere in the northern coastal region of NSW.

Anything that can be done to improve this treasured, faded photo would be appreciated.
 I think the original photo was somewhat over-exposed, so there may not be much to work with. -- the baby had very dark hair.
 Black & white or sepia would be great, but colour would be welcome if anyone wishes to have a go..
 The baby had very dark brown hair, mid blue overalls & a pale pink ribbon in her hair if you can find it! I can't!!
 The house was painted Govt. issue cream with dark brown trim & Daisy was a Jersey heifer.

This photo has a strange look about it as if it may have been touched up, but perhaps it a copy of an earlier photo.  Any comments & any idea of a date appreciated.
The card is a bit like blotting paper, but just a little thicker & plain on the reverse.

I know there isn't much to go on but I am hoping someone may be able to help with an approximate date for this photo.  Any suggestions as to the age of the young man would also be appreciated
 The back of the photo is perfectly plain.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / A pub at/near Pollington

Can anyone tell me please where "The Four Horsehoes" pub is or was?
 My Dad served with an RAF crew during the war and was based at Pollington.   In writing about his war experiences he frequently mentions visiting his "his favourite nearby pub, The Four Horseshoes".  I know it was still around in 1973 when he made a return visit and  I wonder if it still exists and where I could find a photo, perhaps?

Moray (Elginshire) / "Completed" Lossiemouth - local knowledge - L & M??

My father was at Lossiemouth in 1943, for RAF air crew training --  he writes in his journal  "eventually reach Lossiemouth, have a beer and learn of the  L & M"
Can anyone please tell me what the "L & M" might be??   Stuff of myths & legends perhaps?   Considering it was learned in the Pub, & in Scotland,  & he considered it worthy of noting down, --  I have long been wondering!
