The Common Room / Armstrong/Turner Roots
« on: Friday 10 June 11 15:40 BST (UK)  »
:)  I am trying to contact or trace a possible living relative or  a descendent of a living relative by the name of Carl turner.

Carl Turner is the son of Marshall Turner and Doris Armstrong (born 21 march 1907) , born in Sheffiled in *.  Doris worked at Harewood House  and was married twice. Doris is the sister of Fanny Armstrong (born 1883), Fanny is my great grandmother and I have been trying to tie up loose ends of Doris for sometime.  She also had sons, Raymond and John (also known as Jack) and a possible daughter Janice who died in infancy.  If anyone has any possible links please contact me on (*) genuine results only please.

Thankyou

 ???

I am trying to locate the marriage of doris Armstrong to Marshal Turner, this was either in Staffordshire or Yorkshire in the 1930's I would guess.

I was hoping to find her full birth on the 1911 census but as ancestry is not giving this service at the moment have drawn a blank.  I know Doris and Marshal had a son Carl but no other details, she also remarried and had a further 3 children, no details available unfortunately.

Any help in finding her, her marriage and family would be appreciated.  we thik she was born around 1904 to 1908 to parents Henry Armstrong and Jae Partridge.

Thank you

Can anyone help me find the birth details of the above.  Ida Elizabeth Petty was born in Newark, New Jersey, USA in 1875 ish, her parents were daniel and sarah.  I have her married to Thomas Herbert Sidney Wilkinson on 1 Aug 1896 - but she was down as Elizabeth Ida when their son Herbert was born.

Her parents were both born in Staffordshire UK and I was wondering why they ventured across to the USA.

If anyone has any info I would appreicate it.  Her siblings were Charles (1872), William (1873) and Daniel (1878) born USA and Jean (1886), Sarah (1884) and Jane (1866) born in Staffs UK.
