Kent / Elizabeth GOODWIN born c1834/5 Sutton Valence

I am drawing blanks on finding info on Elizabeth GOODWIN born c1834/5 probably Sutton Valence d/o William & Jane GOODWIN. I cannot find Elizabeth on the 1851 census before the family emigrated to the USA.
In 1851 the family were in Marden but not Elizabeth .....
Can anyone throw any light on this please?

Hi Everyone,
I've 'lost' someone in New York!
I know Susanna GOODWIN was born 1832 Sutton Valence Kent England d/o William GOODWIN & Mary Jane GOODWIN (nee BAKER).
We are not 100% sure when she (And her Elizabeth) travelled to the United States. Some say 1851, some 1852 and some 1855. If you believe the 1900 US census it would be 1855.
Susanna married James HADAWAY and had her first child Emma born 1854 in Indiana.
Can anyone help find her marriage to James and possible emigration please?

Is anyone researching Lilian Alicia PATTERSON born 1904 County Sligo? Lilian was one of five siblings of William James PATTERSON and Eliza Hood PATTERSON (nee McCANDLESS).

Other than seeing Lilian on 1911 Irish census I have nothing on her or her siblings.

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to trace the marriage of Caroline WAY and Edward BEARD. Caroline was born in Tolpuddle Dorset 1815. The next I 'see' of her on Guernsey on the 1841 and 1851 census. Unfortunately I cannot locate the marrage of Caroline to the Edward BEARD. Can anyone help please?

Dorset / John BUDDEN c1709 Dorset

I am looking for the baptism of John BUDDEN born c1709 in Dorset, thought to have been born in Canford Magna but I cannot his baptism there. John married Mary Pinhorne 13 March 1737 at Canford.

Can anyone help please?

Kent / BLACK/GREEN/REYNOLDS Sheerness

Sarah Margaret BLACK born 1875 in Sheerness.

Sarah married 1895 in Sheerness to John Thomas GREEN born 1870 not known where. John may have been in the armed forces.

In the 1901 census Sarah was a servant in Sheerness and married.

In 1902 Sarah married Leonard Adams REYNOLDS.

I don't seem to be able to find the death of John Thomas GREEN. Any ideas anyone?

Dorset / My WAYs and Tolpuddle records

Hi Everyone,

Like many other people I am stuck around 1700 for Tolpuddle records due to the Blandford fire of 1731.

What I have is:

William WAY baptised 9/1/1726/7 son of John and Mary WAY

John WAY buried 12/11/1749 Tolpuddle. It is thought John was born c1700 Tolpuddle although I have never seen proof of this.

There is a William WAY buried Tolpuddle 17/10/1734 and a Rachel WAY (Wife of William WAY) buried Tolpuddle 25/11/1729.

Why are there no Parish Transcripts for Tolpuddle pre 1731?
What other records are there that might help me? I have been told Lay Subsidys (1685), Protestation Records (1691) Free ***** (1661), Hearth Tax records (Dates unknown).

Please can anyone shed any light on what I have written above please. Are there aany other records I should follow up?

United States of America / Norman WAY 1891 & Stanley WAY 1923 Toronto, Ontario

Hi Everyone,
I am serching for information on what happened to Norman WAY 1891 & son Stanley Everett WAY 1923 both born Toronto, Ontario. Both on 1930 US census in the Bronx with wife Pearl.
Stanley had a brother Norman Clifford WAY born 1927 Toronto but he isn't on the 1930 US census.
Norman filed for US naturalisation, but then nothing!
Are they on the US 1940 census census at all?
