Hi everyone
I'm trying to find information on a Jame Bradshaw born 1918 Bentham, Settle, Yorkshire West Riding.
Parents George & Ethel or possibly Margaret Ethel Bradshaw. He was married in 1947 in the Same area so assume he joined a Yorkshire regiment. Believe it may have been a REME regiment.
Sorry if not a lot of information. I tried the gov websites but to be honest just got lost.
Any help would be really appreciated

The Common Room / MyHeritage site

Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone familiar with this site & knows how to go to the next page of a census image, sorry if this is really easy to do but just not seeing it. I’ll just explain more in case I’m not clear.

I have a record of an ancestor 1841 census Samuel Cooper in Shropshire address Rag field, I can go on image which tells me all people on that page but I want to go & see all pages relating to Rag field. If a persons family is on two pages can get to that through them but can’t see how to do it without that. Thanks

Shropshire / Help & advice please
« on: Wednesday 31 March 21 19:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone
I have ancestors from the Wellington & Wombridge Shropshire area. Searching the records there seems to be a lot missing, they are not on my heritage site & for instance.

Mary Cooper 19 April 1795 Wombridge Shropshire England parents Thomas & Ann Cooper found on family search site no problem.

Can’t find her brothers
Samuel Cooper circa 1797

Thomas Cooper Circa 1799 However a kind person on Shropshire family history society found 4 possibles for me including 8 June 1800 Wombridge Shropshire parents Thomas & Ann.

My question is am I missing something are they available on another site or is there some form of records I could buy to carry on my research.

Thank you

Hi everyone found marriage of my gt gt grandmother (goodness I’m getting old thought she was my 3 x not 2 lol) Elizabeth Aglington to Thomas Cooper 19 June 1821 Parifh of Wellington (no church name, or didn’t they have one in those days). Both of this Parifh married by banns. Married by (looks like) John Bartlett. No fathers names, witnesses (again looks like) John Raden & Thos Rowleys. On all census except on, (which are in Bilston Staffordshire) they both say born Wellington. On 1851 they state & has been transcribed as Dennington or Dorrington, I think may be Donnington. ( By the way is there also a Donington, one n) Have her oldest children born Wellington same abode could be Ral, Rap, Ray, or Rack field. I have a Joseph Haglington May 1821 same abode, mother Elizabeth Haglington but from image Thomas name clearly crossed out, oh dear not married yet lol. Possible Ruth Cooper 1824 same abode but not on any census, On census George 1827, Edward 1833, same abode in Wellington. All younger children born in Bilston John 1838, Henry 1840, Louisa 1843 & Thomas 1845 all with mother’s maiden name Haglington. Think I have her burial in Bilston 1863 age 65. Looking for her baptism which I thought would be easy lol, found an Elizth Aglington Wellington parents Benjamin Catherine, image spoiled & can’t see any year but on search says 1804, so a bit confused as what to do. Hoping someone can help me sort it please. Then help me look for Thomas lol.

Lancashire / John Cooper Bilston help with burial record please.
« on: Sunday 07 March 21 13:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Everyone recently had a DNA test & have decided to redo my my tree as it has been over10 years since I did it & my Gt grandfather was always a pain to really establish lol. John cooper born Bilston Circa 1838 but age on census & marriage record never add up. Have found death for him 1911 Ashton in Makerfield Wigan aged 73 but I’m on my heritage & can’t find a burial for him but think there may be one that matches on ancestry at St. Thomas church Ashton in makerfield. Lancashire OPC only has  burial records to 1903. He married Mary Hughes 1863 Ettingshall Holy Trinity Staffordshire which was a pain to find as Mary was missing on index records. both fathers names Thomas. John 23, Mary 20. I'm trying to establish his family as in 1841 a few possibles with Elizabeth, Sarah & Mary as mother but by 1861 think only one left in area is with mother Elizabeth. Thought if I can confirm birth year from burial record will finally confirm family, can't think of any other way to find it, unless you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
