Certainly seems like, with the problems over the last few days/weeks/months,
you read all the blogs and seems like the whole of USA is up in arms about "improvements"
and they are expecting an upsurge with the WDTYA due soon on USA tv,
a number have lost their their trees, plenty are complaining about a new merge feature that is supposed to allow
a whole tree to be easily grabbed?

Some are saying you can see your own tree (couldnt for 24 hours) but no longer search public trees,
wrong amounts being taken from bank accounts and YOU need to notice it to get refunded,
a victim of their own success or a few to many lets see what this button does merchants?

apology if you already know this, but at last FindMyPast are offering a free 14 trial for new users (EXCLUDING the 1911)
and also make clear the fair usage policy

Am i the only one who gets the hump?, when after doing some searching for people or helping in some way, they never even make an acknowledgement that it has helped or solved their problem,

i must admit it doesn't bother me so much when they don't reply to mine as i just make a mental note not to bother again, but it probably annoys me more reading through posts i see other Roots members spending a lot of time and their own subscriptions and people cannot be bothered to put the same amount of effort into replying as they have done posting in the first place, sadly its not only new members who are guilty,
i think i have mentioned it before people who go into the photo restoration forum and use the talents of those clever people wouldn't dream of not saying thanks etc would they?

or as i say is it just me being picky?

i wonder if anyone can help who may live close to Emma Road, on Google street view it is described as newham E13, Firstly i will tell you the story,

My Mum and most of her siblings were born at Emma road, and my Nan had told us a story that she was on her way home one day, stopped to pick something up or tie laces etc and a doodle bug came over and hit the houses, and if they hadn't stopped would most likely have died, my Nan wasn't one to tell lies
but did embelish on things mostly to make out things were not as bad as they were,
as i say i looked on google street view and you get to number 72 older houses, and then there are "newer" houses set slightly back and they start at 32, so its as if the numbers that were bombed were not used again, although i can't understand why 32 is next door to 72, as i would have THOUGHT 32 was already used,

sorry for the prattling, but wondered if anyone lives close enough to check, or the unlikelyhood someone knows the story? i will also try and check with the local council etc to see if they have any information, i live the other end of the country now so can't check myself

the whole census now shows the Enumerators pages (where available)
ive just checked some of the pages/records i had already paid for, and one of the pages actually shows the head of the household of each address of the whole street, so find any relatives quickly that live next door etc, the other pages i checked also showed on one census a description of the area, so the 1911 is looking even better now
